Reforms dismantled
Many Greeks are watching with a growing sense of fear as the government scraps reforms left and right, indulges in nihilistic populism and alienates the rest of Europe.
These citizens are becoming increasingly angry at developments in education, the annulment of important improvements that were made to the public administration, the prevalence of nepotism and partisanship in the staffing of the state apparatus, the unorthodox approach to security issues and so much more.
They are also disappointed by their political representatives, many of whom seem to be stuck in a bygone era.
Greece is facing historical moments ahead that will determine its future for years to come. Those who work hard and pay their taxes expect to be represented by a political leadership that is in tune with the times and has what it takes to tackle the challenges ahead. The stakes are high and the people need to feel that everyone is aware of that.
