Lay down the law

We cannot allow the country to turn into a European version of the kind of lawless mess that Colombia was when it was at the mercy of drug barons. There are already too many signs that we are well on our way to such chaos as reports of violent incidents keep coming in and appear to be growing in intensity as time passes.

Over the past few years, we have read of brutal murders, cases of blatant blackmail and extortion that have gone unpunished, without any arrests being made. It is evident that organized gangs are going about their business without no fear whatsoever of consequences.

Remaining inactive is no longer an option for the government, the state and the justice system, because if they delay any longer in laying down the law and restoring order, the consequences will be even direr.
