Seeking an answer

Just a few hours after the completion of the second review of the country’s bailout program, the government was already gloating about it, saying that it would bring about an “exit” from the memorandums.

The SYRIZA-led government has also said that the completion of the review will boost investments and usher in a period of strong economic growth.

Something, however, has brought us back to cold, hard reality. That something is the Culture Ministry, which is once again placing roadblocks in front of the Elliniko project, by referring to a decision that it does not declare certain buildings for preservation, as as certain, “self-proclaimed activists,” would claim.

In that sense, the question “Are they playing us or do they really just not know what they are doing?” has yet to be answered, by the prime minister, no less.
