RALLIS AS MINISTER: Prime Minister Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos yesterday settled an irregularity that had been left in the government ranks after the resignation 10 days ago of Mr Spyros Markezinis with a government reshuffle. Since the entire Cabinet did not resign, but was simply reshuffled, only the new members of the government present in Athens will be sworn in today at 12.30 p.m. at the Athens Palace in the presence of the king and the prime minister. Messrs G.I. Rallis (head of Cabinet), Achilleas Gerokostopoulos (education minister) and G. Voyiatzis (merchant marine minister), who are in the United States, have been instructed to return. (Ed. note: The three ministers were sworn in on April 16, 1954. It was the first time that George Rallis, who was later to become prime minister, assumed a government office). CYPRUS UNION: Mytilene, April 10 – High school pupils and students at the Teachers’ Academy today held a large demonstration in favor of uniting Cyprus with Greece.
