A biased description
With regards to the photo you published on Page 11 of Tuesday’s edition of Kathimerini, I would like to inform you that I attended the Monday morning session of judo and I found your description to be most biased. Naturally, certain sections of the arena had few spectators, but had your photographer taken a picture of the seats spanning the length of the arena on either side, the photo would have shown a packed, multicultural audience. Take a picture of the bleachers/nosebleed section of any sporting event around the world, and you will likely find few fans. The Games have already gotten enough unfair press which, regarding spectators, has been largely unwarranted and out of context. Perhaps you could use your ink to engender positivity – something these Games are supposed to be about. GEORGE VOULUMANOS, Pointe-Clarie QC, Canada.
