BRADEMAS: The United States Information Service (USIS) has announced that many Americans of Greek origin have submitted their candidacy for election of state governors. Mr John Steve Brademas, aged 27, whose father emigrated to the US from Kalamata 40 years ago, has been nominated by the Democratic Party as candidate for Congressman from the State of Indiana (Ed. note: Brademas was Senator for Indiana from 1959 to 1981.) ONASSIS: New York, 18 – According to shipping sources, Greek multimillionaire shipowner Mr Aristotle Onassis finds himself in a difficult position due to pressure being exerted on him by various governments over his agreement with Saudi Arabia and the hostile stance of petroleum companies. Mr Onassis has reportedly been forced to ask Saudi Arabia to amend their agreement and is soon to have a meeting on the issue with the king of that country.
