MALARIA: This year’s anti-malaria campaign will begin on April 20. The interiors of homes in 2,000 villages that tested positive for malaria between 1952-54 will be sprayed with effective insecticides including dieldrine and chlordane. In addition, 200,000 hectares of olive groves and 250,000 hectares of rice fields will be sprayed from the air. PAPAGOS SUCCESSION: According to a report in an afternoon newspaper, which was indirectly attributed to Ambassador Exindaris, the prime minister, Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos, will undertake «a broad government reshuffle» on his arrival from Switzerland on Friday. A senior government source, commenting on this report, stated categorically that there is no question of a government reshuffle happening at this time. ACTING PRIME MINISTER: Yesterday afternoon the acting prime minister, Mr Panayiotis Kanellopoulos, was received by King Pavlos, whom he briefed on general government policy. Earlier, Mr Kanellopoulos had a lengthy telephone conversation with Field Marshal Papagos.
