AGAINST CENSORSHIP: The board of the Association of Greek Writers has made the following announcement: «Consistent with our struggle for freedom of speech, (we) strongly protest at repressive steps to impose censorship in the theater. We draw attention to the incompatibility between the official attempt to revive ancient tragedy and interference at the sacred sites where ancient tragedy was always performed freely and responsibly. We state that we support those theater companies and call on all concerned to join in the struggle to defend democratic and liberal institutions.» JET SET IN MYCONOS: Large crowds of foreign travelers and Athenian celebrities spent last weekend on Myconos.
