KAZANTZAKIS AND FREDERIKI: Paris, 19 (From our correspondent Spyros Theodorou). Prince Georgios has held a dinner party in honor of King Pavlos and Queen Frederiki which was attended by Bishop Rigios Meletions and the Cretan writer Mr Nikos Kazantzakis. During the dinner, the party had a lengthy debate on artistic, literary and philosophical questions, dominated by Queen Frederiki and Mr Kazantzakis. Prince Georgios, who was in a cheerful mood, intervened repeatedly in the discussion, contributing several controversial anecdotes to the conversation. Mr Kazantakis, during his stay in the French capital, is the guest of Prince Georgios at his Paris estate. (Ed. note: Prince Georgios had served as the commissioner on Crete, the birthplace of Kazantzakis). KAZANTZAKIS’S «KOUROS:» One of Nikos Kazantzakis’s most significant plays, «The Kouros,» which was broadcast on Stockholm’s radio station in a performance by the most distinguished Swedish actors and which was enthusiastically received by the Swedish press, is being published for the first time in Greek in the most recent issue of the Nea Estia magazine.
