The USA has asked the UN Security Council to order the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Egyptian territory. France and Britain vetoed the move and the American proposal was rejected. A general mobilization has been called in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. ELECTRONIC CHURCH BELLS: Last night the new electronic church bells installed in Athens Cathedral were tested for the first time.
