SQUIRTING CUCUMBER: During a three-hour session of the Athens Medical Association yesterday, a debate was held for the first time in scientific circles of people’s use of an infusion of the root of the squirting cucumber (as a cure for cancer). The results of the meeting will be officially drawn up by a committee consisting of the Association’s chairman, Professor Spyros Economou and some of its members, such as Antonis Kodounis and Iakovos Diamantopuolos, among others. There was strong disagreement between the doctors present over the evaluation of the results (…). Most of the doctors have as yet avoided making the necessary systematic examination of people’s symptoms after drinking the infusion. There have only been observations of very few cases and those did not take place under scientific conditions. The amazing case of an eye cancer cured by squirting cucumber was announced after the patient was examined only once. The patient’s condition before the improvement was based on information from himself and his family.
