USA AND EUROPE: Washington, 28 – A US State Department spokesman said today that the country would not give favorable consideration to any proposal to withdraw US troops from Europe. The statement put an end to the debate as to whether the US was willing to pull out its troops if the Russians withdrew theirs from Eastern Europe. FOR PPC: The Technical Chamber has announced that it is opposed to any consideration or action that would alter or do away with the institution of the Public Power Corporation (PPC) which has been shown to be the only [organization] capable of distributing electrical power to the country. Greece’s technical establishment believes that the state should definitely stop its practice of doing away with institutions that have proven their value. Instead, the country’s officials should in fact should support the work of these institutions. SOFIA OF GREECE: As of tomorrow, Princess Sofia begins her studies at the Princess Sofia Infants’ Center, which belongs to the Queen Frederiki Infants’ Center «Mitera.»
