MARSHALL PLAN: Washington, 5 – A brief ceremony, attended by US President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the British and French ambassadors, was held at Blair House today to mark the 10th anniversary of the Marshall Plan. Eisenhower exchanged warm greetings with General George C. Marshall, who inspired the plan. TAGE ERLANDER: Swedish Prime Minister Tage Erlander arrived in Athens by air last night for an official visit, accompanied by his wife and private secretary. The party is staying at the Hotel Grande Bretagne. Today Foreign Minister Evangelos Averof will hold a lunch for Erlander at the Royal Yacht Club. Before leaving Stockholm for Athens, Erlander was seen off by Greek Ambassador to Sweden Alexis Kyrou. In Greece, he will be visiting social foundations and archaeological sites. BAGHDAD PACT: Washington, 6 – A meeting of the council of the Baghdad Pact concluded four days of talks in Karachi, Pakistan, today. According to an official communique issued afterward, the fundamental objective goals of communism were unchanged and there was still the possibility of an attack on the security of states in the Middle East.
