GREEK-TURKISH FRIENDSHIP: Istanbul – It was announced in Ankara this morning that a Greek military mission has arrived here, led by General Lamaris. (…) The mission members had a meeting with the deputy leader of the Turkish General Staff, reportedly in a most friendly atmosphere. KOSSA: It has been officially announced that there is an organization within the military titled «Communist Army Organization, Security Forces» (KOSSA). COMMUNIST THREAT: According to a senior and extremely reliable military source, it was announced that since the adoption of the peace measures, there has been a dangerous increase in communist activities with the goal of infiltrating the army. Local military units have been sending reports emphasizing that while army morale is still extremely high, certain events make drastic measures mandatory if any unpleasant surprises are to be averted.
