No one is immune from laws

Over the past few years we have seen lawlessness growing to very worrying proportions and manifesting itself in many different realms here in Greece. The public, in turn, is increasingly demanding that the state take a stricter approach to imposing law and order across the board, irrespective of who is breaking the law. In the case of corporate crimes, one recent example has been that of certain insurance companies that have been allowed by successive administrations to operate in a way that defies a slew of different laws and that defies legal procedures. Such blatant disregard of the law must be stopped and the government as well as the justice system need to crack down, and crack down hard, on those who have committed crimes against clients who have put their trust in them and who have handed over their hard-earned cash. Crime on this level is extremely serious and it is no longer possible for the authorities to turn a blind eye to it.
