Keep koine in Church

It would be a grave mistake to replace the millennia-old language of the Greek Orthodox Church with some modern idiom (Wednesday, August 28, 2002), in a misguided attempt to make the church more popular. This would deprive believers of the beauty, strength and splendor of a language associated with the House of God for 2,000 years. The Holy Synod is right to oppose any such moves.
