PAPAGOS’S POLICY REGARDING TURKEY: During a campaign speech in Komotini, the leader of the Greek Rally party, Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos, said the following: «Here at Greece’s furthest reaches, I would like to express my great joy that relations between Greece and Turkey are moving closer. I have always been in favor of cooperation with the Turks and I can assure you that if the Greek Rally comes to power, this policy will continue and cooperation will become even closer. (…)» NORTH KOREANS: Groups of spectators at a rally by (Nikolaos) Plastiras and Sophocles Venizelos in Thessaloniki chorused loudly «Not Korea, Not Papagos.» Of course, there is no doubt that these were local North Koreans, among those who take orders from Prague in order to carry out their patriotic duty. ZOSIMAIA SCHOOL: Ioannina, 10 – Athens Archbishop Spyridon officiated at a memorial ceremony held here today for the Zosimadis family, benefactors of the nation. Afterward, the foundation stone for the Zosimaia School was laid in the square of the same name. TRYGVE LEE RESIGNS: New York, 10 – United Nations Secretary-General Trygve Lee submitted his resignation today, citing poor health as his reason for stepping down. COST OF LIVING: The cost of living rose by 0.28 percent between January 20 and November 5 of this year.
