Mixed draw for Olympiakos in Champions League
Greek soccer champion Olympiakos Piraeus has been drawn against Benfica (Portugal), Paris Saint-Germain (France) and Anderlecht (Belgium) in the Group Stage of this season’s Champions League.
“We are pleased, it was not a bad draw. We hope to live up to the circumstances,” Michel, Olympiakos’s Spanish coach, said after Thursday’s draw which took place in Monaco.
Last year the Greek club failed to qualify in the second round of the UEFA competition.
The Champions League final will be played at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal on 24 May 2014.
