It was a rough start…

It was a rough start for Giorgos Boukis (bottom) at the 2003 Greco-Roman World Championships in Paris yesterday. In his first match, in the 66-kilogram category, Boukis lost 4-1 on points to Kazakhstan’s Kanaibek Begaliev (top). He then lost 6-3 to Ukraine’s Armen Vardanyan. Greece’s best hope, Xenophon Koutsioubas, easily defeated two opponents in the 120-kilo category.
