AEK extends perfect record in Basket League

Another weekend, another win for AEK, that has surprisingly reached seven out of seven at the Basket League to stay alone on top of the table after the game between Panathinaikos and PAOK was postponed on Monday as half of the PAOK players suffered from gastroenteritis.

AEK faced the challenge of Kifissia away and triumphed 78-54 on Saturday to stay one point above Olympiakos, that saw off visiting Korivos Amaliadas 83-64 on Sunday.

Aris made it five out of seven with a 68-50 home win against Kavala and is preparing to face AEK in Athens next Saturday.

Arkadikos scored its first ever away win in the top flight, and did it in style, thrashing neighbor Apollon Patras 76-56 in the Peloponnesian derby on Saturday. The Tripoli team actually registered an outstanding 73.7 percent scoring rate in three-pointers on Saturday.

Lavrio scored a significant upset as the promoted side from southern Attica defeated host Kolossos 72-61 on Rhodes, led by American-Gambian Ousman Krubally who scored 15 points and collected 12 rebounds for his third double-double this season in just seven games the league.

Rethymno put an end to five games without a win beating visiting Trikala 83-79.
