Suspense is drawn all over the faces of Panathinaikos forwards Costas Tsartsaris (l), Mike Batiste (r) and their Efes Pilsen rivals. In a tense struggle that went into extra time, Panathinaikos defeated its Turkish opponent 102-96 before 12,000 fans in Athens last night to take a 1-0 lead in their best-of-three quarterfinal playoff series for a Euroleague Final Four place in Moscow next month. The teams play Game 2 in Istanbul tomorrow.
