Formula 1 stars play soccer game

Greece may not host a Formula 1 grand prix, but the world’s top F1 drivers, including Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Jarno Trulli, Giancarlo Fisichella and many more, will participate tonight (9 p.m.) in a charity soccer game at the Karaiskaki Stadium in Neo Faliron. The «Champions for Charity» game will pit the «Nazionale Piloti» side against an «All-Star Greece» team consisting of international soccer stars such as Rivaldo, Grigoris Georgatos and Giovanni, as well as Greek politicians, actors, singers and journalists. In the 25 years of the Nazionale Piloti foundation, more than 13 million euros have been raised for good causes. This is the first time it comes to Greece, providing F1 and soccer fans alike a rare chance to see such stars in action. Proceeds from the event will go to the Nazionale Piloti foundation and to the local charity organization the Child’s Smile. Tickets range from 5 to 30 euros.
