Olympiakos’s gamble with Quintel Woods

Quintel Woods, formerly of the Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks, has just signed a two-year deal with the basketball club Olympiakos. Best known in the world of the NBA for his criminal record, as he has been found guilty of organizing dog fights, possessing marijuana and driving on an expired license, Woods is a 2.03-meter-tall small forward. Last year he did not play in the NBA but in the lesser NBDL league with Bakersfield Jam. Former Olympiakos playmaker Christos Harissis has chosen Poland’s Prokom Trefl as the next step in his career. He is expected to sign a one-year contract fetching him 400,000 euros. Prokom is in the same group as Olympiakos in the first stage of the Euroleague.
