Kokkalis Jr quits chair
The amateur arm of the Olympiakos sports club is set to convene tomorrow to elect a new president following the reported resignation of Petros Kokkalis. The son of the soccer club’s president, Sokratis Kokkalis, had only been at the chair of the amateur division for two months. During this period, he had not convened the club’s board and had little to do with its administration. His letter of resignation has reached members of the board. His likely successors include its former president Leonidas Theodorakakis, as well as Thomas Liakounakos (a family friend of Kokkalis) and Constantinos Tsouvelekakis.
