Volleyball league’s top players meeting tonight at Amaliada

The volleyball league takes a break for the all-star game scheduled for tonight at Amaliada in the western Peloponnese. The main course for fans is at 9 p.m. with the Greek All-Stars facing the world all-stars in a game featuring the best players in the A1 division. The Greek team will consist of Andreas Andreadis (Panathinaikos), Nikos Smaragdis (Iraklis), Giorgos Papazoglou (EA Patras), Kyriakos Kalaitzidis (Kifissia), Ilias Lappas (Panathinaikos), Marios Giourdas (EA Patras), Petros Petroglou (Ethnikos Al.), Costas Ioannou (Milon), Thanassis Psarras (Panathinaikos), Yiannis Livathinos (Lamia), Apostolos Armenakis (PAOK), Ainias Tzelatis (Aris), Achilleas Papadimitriou (Olympiakos) and Thanassis Panoussos (Milon). They will be coached by Iraklis’s Costas Arseniadis and Giorgos Christopoulos of EA Patras. The World All-Stars will include Ivan Miljkovic (Olympiakos), Andrija Geric (Panathinaikos), Plamen Konstantinov (Iraklis), Osvaldo Hernandez (Lamia), Bjoern Andrae (Panathinaikos), Oleksiy Gatin (Lamia), Marek Novotny (EA Patras), Leonardo Caldeira (Finikas Syrou), Matthew Denmark (Finikas), Theodore Brunner (PAOK), Jeremy Wilcox (Finikas), Andrey Zekov (EA Patras), Carlos Moreno (Apollon Kalamarias), Bruno Furtado (Apollon) and Boyan Yordanov (EA Patras). Their coaches will be Olympiakos’s Anders Christianson and Finikas’s Petio Dragiev. Before the game will be a match between a selection of the league’s best young players and local side Korivos Amaliada.
