Vassilis Zabelis finishing 20th in the marathon during the last day of the European Athletics Championships in Munich yesterday. Zabelis ran the 42.195 kilometer course in 2 hours, 19 minutes and 31 seconds – 7 minutes and 17 seconds behind winner Janne Holmen of Finland. With four gold and two bronze medals, Greece finished fifth in the medals standings behind Russia, Britain, Spain and France.
