Chris Coleman signs contract with Larissa
Chris Coleman is the new manager of Larissa, as the former Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry City manager has signed and sent his contract and is set to arrive in Greece soon, according to reports.
Early in the morning of May 25 the fax with the Coleman contract arrived at the Larissa offices signed by the Welsh coach.
It provides for a deal of one plus two years and for an annual salary of 120,000 euros net as well as another 100,000 euros if the club bounces back to the Super League immediately.
Larissa had tried to hire the 40-year-old manager last December but the process hit a snag concerning his contract with Coventry City and could not be completed then. In the meantime Larissa was relegated to the Football League.
The Thessaly club is now planning to hire a Greek as a technical director in order to assist Coleman in his first spell as a manager in Greece.
