Investors set sights on developments from Tuesday

The Greek bourse was closed on Friday in line with its major European and American counterparts due to the Western Easter holiday. Trading will not resume until Tuesday for the same reason.

The low turnover over the last few sessions meant there was far too little interest in the Greek market anyway, as Thursday?s volume amounted to just 23 million euros.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index will restart on Tuesday from 707.60 points after giving up 2.93 percent over the week. Banks suffered a 9.29 percent decline in the week?s four sessions.

The market is awaiting the announcement of the terms of the bank recapitalization process, which the Cabinet is likely to determine on Tuesday. Estimates put the amount required at 30-35 billion euros. That is likely to set the trend for the rest of the month.
