EU foreign ministers will hold an emergency meeting in Brussels on Monday to discuss the situation in Ukraine, an EU diplomat said.
"There will be an extraordinary meeting on Ukraine on Monday. Most likely after 1 PM,» said the diplomat.
Greece currently holds the six-month rotating presidency of the European Union.
Earlier this week Greek Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos called on Monday for an international conference with the involvement of the European Union, Russia and financial institutions in order to avoid any disorderly default in Ukraine.
