ATHEX: Marginal drop for benchmark

The early losses on the Greek bourse were contained on Thursday as the benchmark closed just marginally lower, while turnover was the lowest in 13 sessions.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 548.10 points, slipping 0.13 percent from Wednesday’s 548.83 points. The large-cap FTSE 25 index inched up 0.09 percent to end at 148.75 points.

National Bank gained 2.77 percent, while PPC fell 3.11 percent.

In total 45 stocks rose, 55 declined and 17 stayed put.

Turnover reached just 36.7 million euros.
