Liberation Anniversary | Athens | October 12

The City of Athens commemorated the 73rd anniversary of the Greek capital's liberation from the Nazis with a special flag-raising ceremony on the Acropolis hill and wreath layings at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament at Syntagma Square earlier today. This evening, a concert will be held at Building 6 of the Municipal Art Center in Eleftherias Park (next to the Athens Concert Hall) featuring singers Fivos Delivorias and Matoula Zamani, pianist Panagiotis Tsevas, guitarist Costas Nikolopoulos, drummer Thanos Kazantzis and violinist Giannis Kontoratos.
