The Break the Chain Festival marks International Day for the Abolition of Slavery on Saturday, December 2, with a variety of events at different venues around central Athens. Highlights include a workshop for children on developing a consumer conscience, at the Athens Municipal Library (2 Domokou, Larissis) at 11 a.m., followed by an Athens Philharmonic Orchestra concert; two theater plays, a film screening and a concert at the Athens School of Fine Arts (260 Pireos, Tavros); and a basketball game on Samou Street near Larissis train station.
