84 more deaths from Covid-19, 1,388 new infections
Greek health authorities announced 1,388 new cases of coronavirus on Monday, and 84 more deaths from Covid-19.
The total number of fatalities rose to 1,714.
Of the new cases, 11 were reported at the country’s entry points.
The country has confirmed a total of 93,006 infections since the start of the pandemic, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said in its daily bulletin.
The number of intubated patients rose to 549 from 540 on Sunday (average age was 65), while 482 have left ICU.
“Infections are not decreasing at the rate we would expect,” said Athens University professor and government adviser, Vana Papaevangelou, at the daily briefing.
