The mechanical arms...

ALEXANDROS BELTES/ANA

The mechanical arms of the first robotic machine capable of performing surgery were seen yesterday when the Da Vinci robotic system was presented by the private Athens Medical Center. The robot is considered to offer significant advantages, such as requiring the patient to spend less time under anesthesia and lowering the risk of infection. The surgery method also helps reduce the time patients need in post- operative recovery, according to medical experts.
