New rise expected in US tourists this year

By Stathis Kousounis

US tourism arrivals in Greece are expected to rise between 5 and 7 percent this year compared with 2013, the head of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Tourism, George Trivizas, said on Wednesday.

He added that for the momentum to continue from the US market, it is vital that air seats to Greece are increased, combined packages with neighboring countries are sold and travel agencies that specialize in the US market are created in Greece.
