Statistics show slight rise in Greece's IPI for October
Greece’s Production Index in Industry (IPI) recorded a rise of 2 percent in October compared to a year earlier, according to preliminary data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Monday.
Despite the rise in October, the overall trend of the IPI this year is downward.
“In the 10-month period from January 2012 to October 2012, the average rate of change of the IPI was –3.8 percent,” said ELSTAT.
“In October 2011, the corresponding average rate of change of the IPI was –7.5 percent,” the authority added.
