Aris makes moves in international market

Aris announced the acquisition of two foreign soccer players and is reportedly chasing a third. The cup finalists, who will represent Greece in the UEFA Cup, have signed former Polish international striker Piotr Wlodarczyk and Argentine midfielder Roberto Battion. Wlodarczyk arrived in Thessaloniki yesterday to pass a medical test and sign his contract. He was greeted at the airport by several ecstatic Aris fans. The Yellows are also eyeing Paraguay international Alejandro Lembo. The 30-year-old central defender holds an EU passport and has played in Spain as well as in Italy. Club President Lambros Skordas blasted the teams who want to snatch defender Avraam Papadopoulos, as Olympiakos had tabled an offer that was rejected, saying that Aris is not a supermarket where clubs can shop players. He also said that some teams have been promising the player a spot on the national squad if he signs with them.
