?Watch My Dance? set for 56th Eurovision Song Contest (video)

A fusion of hip-hop and homegrown ?zeibekiko? is representing Greece at the 56th Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held at the Dusseldorf Arena on May 14. Composed by Yiannis Christodoulopoulos with lyrics by Eleana Vrachali, ?Watch My Dance? is performed by young singer Loukas Giorkas – the 23-year-old Cypriot winner of the X-Factor talent show in 2008 – and features hip-hop artist Stereo Mike.

This year?s preliminary entries for the annual song contest featured artists whose first public appearances had been in local talent shows like X-Factor and Greek Idol. ?Watch My Dance? was finally selected during a televised show organized and hosted by the Greek Broadcasting Corporation ERT, on March 2.

The Greek entry is scheduled to appear in the competition?s first semi-final on May 10.
