The National Library of Greece is launching a new CD-ROM it has created to help libraries classify their material. The CD-ROM contains an archive of 118,409 established headings in use at the National Library, including names of individuals and organizations, subjects and geographical names. It also provides cross references to non-established headings. The entries are classified according to the Unimarc system, and will assist libraries to classify their own holdings in uniform fashion. The official launching is being held at the amphitheater of the Goethe Institute, Omirou 11, on June 25 at 7 p.m. All libraries in Greece are entitled to a free copy of the CD-ROM.
