‘Utopian Land’ to represent Greece at Eurovision contest
A mix of Pontic lyra, drums and hip-hop is Greece’s entry at the upcoming 61st Eurovision song contest in Stockholm, Sweden, public broadcaster ERT said in a statement released Thursday.
Performed by Argo, “Utopian Land” features Greek and English lyrics and was commissioned by ERT. According to the public broadcaster, the song is sending out a message regarding Greece's reality today, highlighted by the ongoing financial and refugee crises.
The popular song contest takes place in the Swedish capital from May 10 to May 14.
