Orestis Andreadakis named Thessaloniki film fest artistic director
Film critic and festival organizer Orestis Andreadakis has been appointed artistic director of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF), according to a statement Tuesday.
It said the selection was made following a recommendation by Elise Jalladeau who was recently named TIFF general director. More changes should be expected in the festival's structure and program, the statement said.
Andreadakis has already traveled to France to attend the Cannes Film Festival as artistic director, reports said.
Andreadakis, co-founder of the Athens International Film Festival (also known as Premiere Nights), has replaced Dimitris Eipides who stepped down from the post earlier this year.
