For the fourth year in a row, the National Book Center (EKEBI) will have a stand at the Short Film Festival in Drama, now in its 27th year. At the festival, EKEBI will host a series of presentations of literary magazines, books, Cypriot poets and books on cinema. The festival, which runs September 19-25, will screen 188 films from Greece and another 44 countries. A busy program of parallel events includes art exhibitions, musical performances, prizes and tributes. Barefoot images An exhibition of illustrations from Greek children’s literature that made its mark at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair earlier this year is now touring Greece. The first stop will be Aegaleo, where EKEBI and the Municipality of Aegaleo have organized the exhibition of 93 works by 31 Greek illustrators at the Yiannis Ritsos Cultural Center (17 Dimarcheiou & Koundouriotou, Aegaleo) from September 22 to October 3. The exhibition is part of the Aegaleo Book Fair, now in its second year, which is dedicated to children’s books. This year, 74 publishers are taking part and there will be numerous parallel events (Aegaleo Park, Iera Odos).
