War zones and a kiss’s journey
Odysseas Voudouris’s «Far… but Close to Us: A Photographic Diary of a Doctor Without Borders» records scenes from war zones where he has worked as a volunteer, from El Salvador and Rwanda to Kosovo and Iraq. The book is being launched today by Kastaniotis publishers, at the Athens Journalists’ Union (20 Academias, tel 210.363.2601), at 12.30 p.m. Speakers are Stelios Kouloglou, Nikos Constantopoulos and Nikos Papandreou. Picture book Papadopoulos publishers present «The Journey of a Little Kiss,» a picture book for children aged 4 and over at Eleftheroudakis bookstore (17 Panepistimiou, tel 210.352.8466) on Saturday, February 12 at noon. Author Alexandra Markopoulou and illustrator Katerina Koufopoulou will be there.
