Some good news for budding writers

A new writers’ workshop starts on March 5 at the European Translation Center (EKEMEL) and runs till April 25. Stratis Haviaras, director of the «Writing the Novel» workshop at Harvard University, will lead the workshop, which is open to young writers who have imagination and writing skills but would like help with structure and composition. Classes will study selected texts, do written exercises in structure, plot, narrative voice, description, character development and style. There will be discussion of students’ work while in progress and after revision. The workshop is on Tuesday and Friday, 5.30-7.30 p.m., and is open to a maximum of 15 participants.
