Screenplay seminar

Ever wondered how to turn a book into a film? A seminar tomorrow at the National Book Center (EKEBI) will explain the process. Prune Berge, director of the audiovisual department at leading French publisher Gallimard, will lead the seminar. An experienced consultant to television channels and publishers on film and book rights, she knows all the tricks of the trade. The morning sessions, 9 o’clock until noon, are open to the public, though advanced booking is essential. The seminar will look at how a book becomes a screenplay and a good film. The afternoon sessions for book professionals will explore relations between publishers and producers in preparation for the Monte Carlo Forum of Cinema and Literature (April 7-9), a major market for selling book rights to filmmakers. EKEBI, 4 Athanassiou Diakou, Athens. Acropolis metro station. Information, enrollment tel Alexia Kefala 210.920.0352.
