Art for charity auction
Eighty-four contemporary Greek artists have donated works that will be sold at a charity auction this evening at the Arts Center of the Municipality of Athens. Profits from the sale will go to the Association for the Psychosocial Health of Children and Adolescents (www.epsype.gr) and for the purposes of «Iris,» a new building that will house the association’s activities. Auctioneer Petros Vergos, together with the artists and curator Iris Kritikou, who curated the exhibition-preview of the works, have all volunteered their work in warm support for the association’s work. The art, mostly paintings, is by some of the best-known Greek painters. Among them are Io Angeli, Erietta Vordoni, Nikos Angelidis, Pavos Samios, Nikos Stefanou, Maria Filopoulou, Yiannis Lasithiotakis, Marios Spiliopoulos, Alexis Veroukas, Stefanos Zannis, Irini Gonou and Kyriakos Katzourakis.
