Literary fare in Frankfurt
India is this year’s guest of honor at the 58th Frankfurt Book Fair, which started yesterday and runs until Sunday, October 8. Greece is represented by individual publishers with their own stands and a national stand, organized by the Panhellenic Federation of Publishers and Booksellers (POEB) and the National Book Center (EKEBI) with the support of the Greek Culture Ministry. EKEBI is focusing its promotion of Greek books and writers in Frankfurt on highlighting the next Thessaloniki Book Fair (May 17-20, 2007), the online magazine Ithaca (through the biannual print edition published for distribution at international book fairs), and the Biblionet online database of Greek publishing.
