Downfall Based on Joachim Fest’s book «Inside Hitler’s Bunker,» the film portrays the harrowing and claustrophobic last few weeks of Adolf’s Hitler’s life, spent almost entirely underground. The Nazi leader oscillates between resignation and madness while the commitment shown by Goebbels and Eva Braun clashes withthe fear of worried commanders. Historical drama directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, starring Bruno Ganz, Alexandra Maria Lara, Corinna Harfouch, Ulrich Matthes and Juliane Kohler. Matilda, a 6-year-old child prodigy with telekinetic powers, might be discouraged from reading by her parents and treated badly by her headmistress, but her cleverness always prevails.
