OTE recovery helps keep index afloat
Late-session buying helped lift Greek stocks into positive territory yesterday as OTE Telecom recovered from a slide of more than 2 percent shortly before the release of its nine-month results. «Results were better than expected and this is likely to bring some relief to the share,» said analyst Manos Mavrogenis at Laiki Attalos Securities. Blue chips slipped 0.16 percent to 915.35 points. State-owned Public Power Corporation (PPC) fell 1.08 percent to 12.78 euros, as the date for a 13 percent share offering in the first week of December draws nearer.
