Stocks see little change in Athens

Investors appeared very reserved in the last bourse session of the week, with most stocks posting losses on Friday, but the main index climbing.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 1,585.85 points, rising by 0.33 percent from Thursday?s closing at 1,580.67 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index dropped marginally by 0.04 percent to end at 732.80 points.

Jumbo led blue chips with gains of 3.51 percent, followed by Coca-Cola HBC (2.93 percent) and Marfin Investment Group (1.20 percent). Piraeus Bank lost 3.21 percent, Titan cement dropped by 1.78 percent and Mytilineos declined by 1.13 percent.

In total, 58 stocks moved up, 89 went down and 58 remained unchanged. Technical Publications led those rising with a 15.91 percent growth, while Eleftheri Tileorasi posted the biggest loss, amounting to 17.78 percent.

Turnover came to 73 million euros, down from Thursday?s 99 million.
